Germany Vietnam Catalysis Centre
Scientific and Technological Organization dedicated to research and development in the field of catalysis
From RoHan to GeViCat – A Journey in Sustainable Catalysis.
Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) , the project was conceived to address the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The core mission was to strengthen the scientific relationship between Vietnam and Germany, foster novel co-operations, and train highly-qualified researchers on state-of-the-art knowledge and ideas in the chemistry and catalysis field. Catalysis was identified as a pivotal, key technology for solving global challenges like air purification, water sanitation, and climate change countermeasures.
The Germany Vietnam Catalysis Centre (GeViCat Center) stands as the continuation and development step following the resounding success of the RoHan project.
GeViCat is a dedicated Scientific and Technological Organization for research and development in the field of catalysis
Mission and Functions
GeViCat Center’s activities focus on the fields of chemical catalysis, environment, energy, and biology.
Research groups and Laboratories
GeViCat center aims to become a leading Catalysis center in the Asia region. With the support from the University of Rostock and the Leibniz Institute for Catalysis (LIKAT – Germany), the Center establishes a strong foundation for expanding and strengthening the transfer and application of catalytic processes, methods, and materials in industry. The Center is committed to increasing the number of domestic and international publications for the Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
